19 – 21 July 2024
They claim that the mission is to ‘create Worcester’s biggest outdoors celebration, helping to make Worcester an amazing place to live and work’. It looks like they might achieve it. Great fun for good causes is what this event is all about.
The biggest Free Blues Festival in the UK – and it’s at Upton on Severn. Twenty years ago this was a small event. Now it brings thousands of fans and fills the town. 2024 promises to be better than ever.
the great waddle of worcester
July 22
Yes, it’s the The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024. Summer 2024 will see Worcester ‘transformed into a free, fun art space as a waddle of wonderfully designed penguins slide into residents’ and visitors’ hearts and camera rolls’. Individual sculptures are sponsored by a business and designed by an artist. The whole concept raises money for St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester.
The penguins ‘waddle in’ on Monday, July 22 before leaving on Sunday, September 15.
You see the point? There’s loads going on. And suddenly it will be summer bringing August’s Worcester Festival. That’s without long running constant favourites like the Severn Valley Railway.
All of this wonderful activity means it’s no wonder that Worcestershire is increasingly popular as somewhere to explore. Upton Lake is at the centre of it all, and very much the current centre of attention. Why? Because it’s here that the latest thinking in floating homes is proving seriously attractive.
This is a new living experience. It’s state of the art technology in the most beautiful of natural surroundings. It’s the future, nestled in heritage. Developed by the Tingdene Group this could be where – and how – you want to live. Go visit, but take your diary, there’s a lot going on…
